Jeff Cota and Sheldon Phillips. They were both up for The Hurley Award, given to the technicians, stage crew and managers by their peers. Jeff was stage manager of the Miller Stage at the Waterfront Blues Festival and has worked stage crew for years as has Sheldon. Sheldon was Stage Manager for the Front Porch Stage at the Waterfront Blues Festival. Sheldon was the winner.

Yeah Bluesslave, I know all about camera fits, still working with my little pocket camera, so don't expect too much out these.

The host for the awards was Shel Bailey, bass player and vocalist for the band The Big Package and also a radio DJ on Charlie FM in Portland, where she is known as The Charlie Girl. I thought Shel did a really nice job of ad-libbing and keeping the show moving.
